Spiritual Ingredients donated a cake to Magnussen School for their wrap up to the science fair 2011. When I considered what design would best fit the 'science fair' theme I instantly thought about Cupcakes for Conservation with a twist. Cupcakes for Conservation is my way of sweetening awareness about the world around us and what is happening it. We often say that climate change is a major concern, but it is not the whole picture. Habitat loss and species loss or better said the loss of bio-diversity is probably the foundational issue to the state of the Earth. From this point of view, Spiritual Ingredients designed and created a map of the world with oh-so-cute mini versions of some of the Cupcakes for Conservation line placed in their environmental living locations. This was a unique way of visually and orally stimulating how our world is affected these days. The delicious White Vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate italian meringue buttercream filling, was presented and devoured at the school last night. It was great fun to stay after the presentation and talk with students, teachers, and parents about everything to do with the cake and about what the Cupcakes for Conservation line is all about! Thanks for the wonderful response Magnussen School - and great job in this year's science fair and good luck in next years science fair!
